The guidelines for papers has not changed: three, short, 800-word essays answering questions posted and one, long, 4000-word term paper of your choosing.

I would strongly suggest running the topic of your long paper by me towards the end of March. It is not required, but could save you heartache if you think you will solve world information peace in three weeks.

The short essays answer any three questions posted for a given lecture. The essay is due before the lecture.

You may submit a fourth short essay. Your grade will be the top three grades of the papers submitted.

Submit all papers through Blackboard.

Readings are likely to change order. Since many of you have bought books, I will try to keep them in the syllabus. If you have read everything already, you are way ahead.
